WORD PARTS:

Kha = will (asking someone to do something),

wu = you

phinde = repeat (from ukuphinda = to repeat)

GRAMMAR: When we want to ask someone to do something, put Khawu at the front of the verb and then change the last vowel of the verb to an e. Here are some more examples:

thetha = speak,

Khawuthethe = Will you speak.

funda = to learn / read,

Khawufunde = Will you learn / read.

NOTE: The Khawu- is a neutral request. If we want to say Please will you repeat, then we can add Nceda (please) at the front of the phrase: Nceda khawuphinde.

Yonwabela! – Enjoy it!
