WORD PARTS:
Kha = will (asking someone to do something),
wu = you
zi = yourself
nced = help
e = the -e ending is required when we put ‘khawu-‘ at the front.
GRAMMAR: When we want to ask someone to do something, put Khawu at the front of the verb and then change the last vowel of the verb to an e. Here are some more examples:
thetha = speak,
Khawuthethe = Will you speak.
funda = to learn / read,
Khawufunde = Will you learn / read.
zama = make an effort,
Khawuzame = Will you make an effort
NOTE: The Khawu-e form is a persuasive request, sometimes translated as “won’t you…” or “please…”.
