Your Xhosa:Tyhini thiza! Nkosi yam! – Oh Gosh! My Lord! Listen & learn:

January 28th, 2011 xhosafundis's posterous Posted in Daily Xhosa No Comments »

Tyhini thiza Nkosi yam 28-01-2011.wav
Listen on Posterous

WORD PARTS:

Tyhini = expression of surprise,

thiza = similar to Gosh,

Nkosi = Lord (also ‘chief”),

yam = my.

I need this phrase today! How about you?!

The TYH sounds similar to the CH as in CHEESE, (and you’ll get away with this) but more correctly the movement of the tongue releases on the palate.

Enjoy the listen and repeat with Zoliswa.
