WORD PARTS:

Ndi = I / me,

khaphe = accompany.

 

ie. join me / come with me.

 

The verb is KHAPHA, but the last vowel is changed to an E to make it an instruction “Accompany me” as apposed to “I accompany…”.

Yhu! = exclamation of surprise or just adding emphasis like Gee! (Pronounced Yoo!),

U = you / he / she,

yonqena = is / are lazy.

 

So “Uyonqena” can mean “You are lazy”, “He is lazy” or “She is lazy”. And Ndiyonqena = I am lazy.
