Listen on Posterous

WORD PARTS:

Ngu – similar to ‘it is’. (Ngu introduces nouns from certain Noun Groups, e.g. nouns with U- and Um- prefixes)

umhlola = a miracle.

When these 2 word parts join together, the 2 ‘U’s, in the middle, become one: NGUMHLOLA!

Listen to Zoliswa pronouncing it and, if possible, practise the pronounciation with a mother-tongue speaker. The HL sound is made by air vibrating outwards along the sides of the tongue.

Enjoy!
